For prospective residents

Your life. Your choices. A better environment to practice both.

LaunchPoint gives you a private bedroom, a calm shared home near UVU, and a little structure while you build the routines and confidence to live on your own.

See If LaunchPoint Fits

A two-way decision

Does this kind of home fit what you want?

LaunchPoint is a rental home with light support. It works best when the resident wants the opportunity and can live safely without on-site supervision.

LaunchPoint may fit if…

  • You are ready to move out of your family home and are choosing the home for yourself.
  • You want more independence but would benefit from light accountability around everyday responsibilities.
  • You attend UVU or another nearby school, work, or do both.
  • You can manage school or work, medication, transportation, and personal safety independently.
  • You want a calm, alcohol- and substance-free place to live.
  • You want housemates who are also working toward a successful adult life.
  • You are willing to follow shared expectations and take care of your part of the home.

Another option may fit better if…

  • You need 24-hour supervision, on-site staff, crisis monitoring, or daily clinical support.
  • Residential treatment—not housing—is the main service you currently need.
  • You need detoxification, active substance-use treatment, or a higher level of care.
  • You cannot currently manage basic daily responsibilities independently.
  • You are looking for a traditional party-house environment.
  • Current behavior could compromise your safety or the safety and stability of housemates.
  • Someone else wants the home more than you do.

This is not a judgment about anyone’s worth or potential. It simply protects residents by matching the housing model to the support a person currently needs.

each month

Optional and encouraged

What happens in a check-in?

Two check-ins with Josh each month are included in rent and encouraged, but not required. The resident sets the direction. Use them to talk through routines, goals, responsibilities, a résumé, asking for a raise, finding the right campus resource, or whatever you’re working on.

Check-ins are not therapy, treatment, or clinical supervision. Therapy is not required. Any optional coaching or clinical service is arranged and billed separately from housing.

Who lives here?

You’re not just renting a room. You’re joining a household.

LaunchPoint is intentionally limited to four young adults. Residents are selected with consideration for compatibility, lifestyle, cleanliness, schedules, and expectations for the home.

Everyone signs the same community living agreement and chooses a quieter, substance-free environment. The goal is not identical roommates—it is a household where differences can coexist with mutual respect.

Community living agreement

Clear expectations make home feel easier.

You still direct your own day. The agreement simply creates a predictable, respectful home for everyone who lives there.

A substance-free home

Alcohol, illegal drugs, and misuse of medication are not permitted.

Quiet hours

Sunday–Thursday: 11 p.m.–8 a.m. Friday–Saturday: midnight–9 a.m.

Guests

No overnight guests. Small gatherings of up to four guests are welcome when they respect the home and quiet hours.

Shared care

Residents contribute to agreed household and yard responsibilities.

Pets

The home does not currently allow pets. Contact Josh with questions about legally protected assistance animals.

Respect

Privacy, safety, communication, and care for shared spaces matter.

This is a rental agreement—not a program rulebook.

Residents review and sign the lease and community living agreement before moving in. Material or repeated violations are handled through direct communication and the landlord-tenant process required by Utah law.
