LaunchPoint is independent residential housing in Orem, a two-minute walk from UVU. Four residents each rent a private bedroom and share the home. Clear community expectations and two monthly check-ins with Josh—included in rent and encouraged, but not required—add a small amount of intentional structure.

No. LaunchPoint is not treatment, sober living, a group home, transitional programming, or supervised living. There is no on-site staff or clinical monitoring. Residents are tenants first.

It may fit a young adult who wants greater independence, can live safely without on-site supervision, and would benefit from a quiet substance-free home, shared expectations, and light accountability. No diagnosis is required.

Someone who currently needs crisis monitoring, daily clinical supervision, detoxification, active substance-use treatment, on-site staff, or a treatment-centered setting may be better served by another option. The prospective resident must also want the home for themselves.

$1,850 per resident per month includes a private bedroom, two shared bathrooms, parking in a two-car garage and driveway, in-home laundry, a community living agreement, and two monthly check-ins with Josh.

The security deposit is $1,400. Utilities are shared among residents and coordinated by the landlord. The home is currently unfurnished; optional furnishing may be available for $100 per month. Optional coaching or clinical services are separate from rent.

Two individual check-ins with Josh each month are included in rent and encouraged, but not required. They usually last 30–45 minutes. Topics may include routines, household responsibilities, school or work goals, campus resources, résumés, or other practical next steps chosen by the resident.

No. They are not therapy, treatment, case management, or clinical supervision. Therapy is not required. If someone independently chooses optional coaching or clinical care, it requires a separate agreement and separate billing.

The home is alcohol- and substance-free. Residents agree to quiet hours, no overnight guests, limits on larger gatherings, care for shared spaces, and agreed household and yard responsibilities. The full community living agreement is reviewed before signing a lease.

Residents sign a lease and community living agreement before moving in. Josh first addresses concerns directly. Serious or repeated violations—such as substance use, unsafe conduct, or disruptive parties—are handled as lease matters through the notice and court processes required by Utah law. Because LaunchPoint is housing rather than a program, it does not use an informal program discharge or remove a tenant without due process.

The home does not currently allow pets. Contact Josh directly with questions about legally protected assistance animals or accommodation requests.

Each resident has a private bedroom. The house has two shared bathrooms and more than 1,800 square feet of space. Rooms are currently unfurnished, with an optional furnishing add-on when available.

Lease terms can be flexible, although leases usually run through July. Ask Josh about the term available for your desired move-in date.

A family member can make the first inquiry and join an early conversation, but the prospective resident needs to understand the home, participate in the process, and choose it for themselves.

You will first talk with Josh, then tour the actual home if it seems promising. Everyone considers the fit before an application is completed. Applying does not guarantee a room; housing availability and a practical shared-home match are confirmed first.
